Climate Change Research Grants - 2009/10

MAF has completed the third funding round of the Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change research programme carried out for MAF by the Foundation under a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations.

These research investments are aimed at identifying the impacts of climate change, reducing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions, encouraging the establishment of forest sinks, and capitalising on new business opportunities arising from the world’s response to climate change.

Six one year proposals and nine, three year proposals from ten research organisations were approved. The total funding allocated is $11,916,439 in total over three years made up of $4,588,059 in year one, $3,664,190 in year two and $3,664,190 in year three to support the approved proposals.
