Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change: Plan of Action

In early 2007, the Government developed a sustainable land management and climate change Plan of Action to tackle:

• the impacts of and adapting to climate change,
• reducing New Zealand’s greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing carbon sinks, and
• exploring business opportunities arising from climate change

This initiative was strongly endorsed by stakeholders, particularly sector and industry leaders.
