Wine exports have grown dramatically in the past decade as New Zealand's reputation as a producer has grown. MPI's role is to help exporters meet the requirements of overseas markets and to ensure that any product exported from New Zealand is safe and suitable.

Find the overseas market access requirements (OMARs) you'll need to meet when exporting wine to specific countries or markets. »
To export New Zealand grape wine you need to ensure that the wine meets export eligibility requirements under the Wine Act 2003.
To export fruit wine, cider, mead, wine product, or wine made from grapes wholly or partially grown outside of New Zealand, you need to follow a different process.
