Methyl bromide fumigation is an acceptable insecticide treatment.

Fumigation See conditions stated in import permit. If applicable the fumigant name (Methyl bromide only), concentration, duration and minimum temperature during treatment must be recorded on the phytosanitary certificate. If schedules are not stated on the import permit use New Zealand import rates FTP1 or FTP6 [PDF, 488 KB] (depending on the timber dimensions).
