Deemed value rates
Deemed value rates are set by Fisheries New Zealand each fishing year for different fish stocks. Download deemed value rates for a particular fishing year.
What the rates mean
If commercial fishers don't have enough annual catch entitlement (ACE) to cover their catch, we charge:
- interim deemed value rates for extra catch during the first 11 months of the fishing year
- annual deemed value rates for extra catch at the end of the fishing year.
Deemed value rates are set by Fisheries New Zealand each fishing year for every fish stock in the Quota Management System.
