Consultations we held about changing the notices
Proposed wine notices (closed on 20 September 2021)
Wine standards management plan model
We consolidated 2 current codes of practice and the food safety for winemakers template into one wine standard management plan (WSMP) model. This incorporated changes to requirements in the new regulations and notices. The model was released September 2022.

Transition to the new requirements
Transitional arrangements have been made to allow operators and verifiers time to adjust to the new requirements.
The new wine regulations and notices came into effect on 1 July 2022. There will be a period of time for businesses to make any necessary adjustments. However, businesses will be expected to be fully compliant from 1 July 2023.
Continuing professional development for wine verifiers and evaluators is not mandatory until October 2023.
