This field guide has been prepared for those engaged in measuring indigenous trees and logs. It is the basis for the measurement of the timber contained in standing trees and logs for the purpose of implementing Part 3A, Forests Act 1949 and reflects MPI's forestry operating procedures and long-standing industry practice.
