This report provides mean weight estimates for species landed by recreational fishers during the 2011-12 fishing year. They were derived from measurements of fish landed by recreational fishers interviewed at key boat ramps. Length-weight relationships from existing studies converted measurements into individual weight estimates. The resulting mean weight estimates were used by the 2011-12 National Panel survey to convert estimates of numbers of fish into tonnage.
