This guide will help you get your food label right.
You must label your food so it meets the rules of the Code. Your product could be recalled or you could be fined if you get this wrong.


This document gives an overview of the process of importing food into New Zealand; outlines how imported foods are categorised and which categories of food require clearance under the Food Act prior to entry into New Zealand; details the process for obtaining food safety clearance where it is required.
