Forest Products Export Standards - Phytosanitary Requirements of Iran

  Logs must be fumigated, kiln dried or heat treated.

Fumigation

 Methyl bromide fumigation:

  • 48g/m3 for 24 hours at 21˚C, or
  • 56g/m3 for 24 hours at 16-20°C, or
  • 64g/m3 for 24 hours at 11-15°C, or
  • 72g/m3 for 24 hours at 10°C.

Maximum moisture content 14%, minimum temperature 74˚C for one of the following durations depending on the thickness of the wood:
