Proposals to Amend (No.1) the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards 2015

Your views sought

As part of our work around food safety, MPI regularly reviews the Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds. We are currently proposing to amend the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards 2015 to include:

  • new MRLs for six compounds
  • exempt two new substances from MRLs
  • remove the MRL for one compound which is no longer used; and
  • make amendments to improve accuracy.

MPI is seeking your views on the below consultation document which provides more details on these proposals.
