Note: Do not bring poultry, like chicken, duck, or turkey.

Examples: Frozen meat, fresh meat, fillet steak, black pudding, sausages.
Allowed if: It is commercially manufactured and packaged, in its original unopened packaging, has the country of manufacturer clearly stated on the packaging, and the meat and country comply with this list:

Canned meat

Examples: Canned chicken, spam, canned corned beef
Allowed if: It is commercially manufactured and packaged, in its original unopened packaging, and does not require refrigeration.

  • 2kg, if the canned meat contains bone. 
  • No limits otherwise.

Cured pork meat

Examples: Bacon, chorizo, prosciutto, salami, leg of ham
Allowed if:

It is only from Australia, Finland or Sweden. No pork products from any other countries are allowed.

It must also be commercially manufactured and packaged, in its original unopened packaging, and have the country of manufacture clearly stated on the packaging.

Pork crackling

Cured meat other than pork

Examples:

Turkey jerky, beef biltong, chicken jerky, bresaola, venison salami, biltong

Allowed if:

For example, you could bring in up to 20kg of cured rabbit meat from the European Union, Switzerland, and Norway (as per category 1), or up to 1kg of cured rabbit meat from any of the countries listed in category 2. In both cases, the product must also meet any stated packaging and labelling requirements.

Category 1: Must be commercially manufactured and packaged, in its original unopened packaging, and have the country of manufacturer clearly stated on the packaging. Up to 20kg per passenger are allowed for meats in this category from the countries listed.

Do not bring any cured meat from any country not listed.

If your cured meat product is a mixture of different meats, you must meet all the requirements for each type of meat. If in doubt, do not bring the product.
