The National Rock Lobster Management Group (NRLMG) proposes that regulatory controls are amended for selected rock lobster stocks.

There are two initial advice papers in the NRLMG’s consultation document that provide initial considerations on proposals to:
- Review Rock Lobster Concession Area Regulations associated with the taking, landing, transport, processing and sale of rock lobsters;
- Review Fiordland (Te Moana o Atawhenua) Marine Area Rock Lobster Amateur Regulations.
MPI (on behalf of the NRLMG) welcomes information and comments from tangata whenua, fishery stakeholders and other interested parties on the proposals.
All written submissions must be received by MPI by 5 pm on Thursday, 13 December 2012.
