Amended import health standards and review of submissions released

Following the consultation that closed on 28 October 2023, we've released the amended import health standards (IHSs) along with the review of submissions document.

Consultation background

From 20 September to 28 October 2023 the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) invited comments on proposed changes to the:

  • Import Health Standard 152.02: Importation and Clearance of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables into New Zealand
  • Fresh Rambutan for Human Consumption
  • Fresh Ginger (Zingiber officinale and Z. zerumbet) for Human Consumption.
