This notice exempts commercial samples of fruit wine, vegetable wine, mead, wine product and non-New Zealand grape wine from export requirements under the Wine Act 2003.

In this Waiver, the Director Performance, Oversight & Approvals, under delegated authority from the Director-General, is exercising the power under:
- regulation 17 of the Wine Regulations 2006
to waive certain fees, charges and levies.

These conditions are issued pursuant to section 76 of the Wine Act 2003 and are standard conditions attached to the recognition of any agency that is recognised to perform verification functions and activities under the Wine Act. These conditions may be revoked, amended or added to by the Director-General as provided for by section 76.


In recognition of the legislative framework that governs grape winemaking in New Zealand, and without affecting any of the obligations under that framework, we agree to the following guiding principles with respect to the availability of, and future amendment and use of, the New Zealand Winegrowers’ Wine Standards Management Plan Code of Practice: Grape Wine, Version 2 October 2011.

These conditions are issued pursuant to section 76 of the Wine Act 2003 and are standard conditions attached to the recognition of any person who is recognised to perform verification functions and activities under the Wine Act. These conditions may be revoked, amended or added to by the Director-General as provided for by section 76
