ONE BILLION TREES FUND IS CLOSED
The One Billion Trees Fund is closed for applications. Signed contracts will progress as scheduled.
The One Billion Trees programme will continue until 2028.
Before you register your interest
Before you complete an expression of interest it’s a good idea to send a summary of your idea to us at email@example.com
We'll get in touch with you to discuss the next steps.
You should also check the priority areas for funding and the assessment criteria.
Complete the form
We are not currently accepting applications.
Once you’re confident your proposal meets our criteria you can complete an Expression of Interest. The Expression of Interest should be a summary of your proposal to give Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service a good understanding of what you're wanting to do.
It should provide information about:
- how your project meets the Government’s objectives
- the expected benefits and outcomes
- the costs of the project
- the parties involved
- each party’s contribution.
The One Billion Trees Fund application form includes the Expression of Interest in Partnerships Funding.
For Partnerships Funding, fill in sections 1 and 3 of the form. If your project involves tree planting, you also need to fill in section 2 which provides the information needed to apply for a Direct Grant as well.
Download the form, or email us for a paper copy.
