Product registration
All dietary supplements, medical foods/food for special medical purposes, food for special dietary uses, dietary products for children up to 36 months and food additives not on the Viet Nam list of permitted food additives (unregistered food additives) require a product registration declaration prior to import.

Documents required for product registration
The product registration application is submitted by the Vietnamese importer but requires information from the New Zealand exporter.
You will need a "Certificate of Exportation". To apply for this certificate you need to complete an application form 'CERT10 Certificate of Exportation to Viet Nam'.

For dietary supplements you will also need a "Good Manufacturing Practice Certificate". To apply for the GMP certificate you need to complete an application form 'CERT11 GMP Certificate for Dietary Supplements to Viet Nam'.
