The purpose of this Notice is to facilitate market access and safeguard assurances provided by New Zealand by setting out general requirements that must be met in order for honey and other bee products to be eligible for export. In particular, this Notice specifies the following:
a) requirements for ensuring that bee products meet market access requirements; and
b) requirements for ensuring traceability through the export supply chain; and
c) definition for monofloral and multifloral mānuka honey and associated requirements.
This Notice specifies the general export requirements that are to be complied with in order for animal material and animal products to be eligible for export as halal. This Notice revokes and replaces the Animal Products Notice: General Export Requirements for Halal Animal Material and Halal Animal Products that was issued on 23 December 2016
This notice specifies the requirements that must be followed in order to receive an official assurance to accompany exported animal material or animal products within the scope of the Animal Products Act 1999 (the Act).
