About Official Information Act requests
Under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) anyone in New Zealand, like citizens, permanent residents, and visitors, can request official information from government agencies.
We publish information released through OIA requests, along with information we proactively make available. Where necessary, personal information and other protected content have been withheld or redacted in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 Section and the Official Information Act 1982.

Documents and letters responding to OIA requests
We started proactively releasing responses to OIA requests in October 2026. Use the search filter to help you find a response, dating back to 15 January 2026.
Each file starts with a case number, then the subject, followed by the document type and the date of the response.
