My Food Rules is temporarily unavailable
The My Food Rules tool is unavailable while we carry out maintenance and updates. If you require help, email foodactinfo@mpi.govt.nz
Your local council will also be able to help you identify if you require a food control plan or programme and how to register your food business.
We apologise for the inconvenience. We expect to have the tool back up and running within a week.
Information for home-based bakers
If you are a home-based baker making shelf-stable cakes only, and selling directly to consumers, you may be exempt from operating under a registered food control plan or national programme. Learn more from our guidance document:
