This report has three parts: an investigation of TRE 1 and 7 stock structure; derivation of CPUE (abundance) indices for the East Northland and Bay of Plenty areas of TRE 1; a stock assessment for the Bay of Plenty area of TRE 1. A viable stock assessment for the Bay of Plenty trevally stock was not possible using the aerial sightings abundance index. Plausible SA results were obtained by fitting only to the trawl CPUE series and catch at-age data, however, further investigation is required.
