The Ministry for Primary Industries convened a fully independent expert panel to review the stock assessment model for hoki during 17–21 February 2014. In broad terms, the Panel considers the results from the hoki assessment model to be satisfactory and robust in regard to resource status and trends, although a number of recommendations for improvement were made.
