Canine semen is exempt from the requirements of the Health of Animals Regulations in Canada. The Canadian Food and Inspection Agency no longer regulate the import of canine semen. The change in policy dates back to 2001.
In order to clear through customs, (Canada Border Services Agency - CBSA) the country of origin needs to be identified and value of the goods for tax purposes.
