A Bayesian stock assessment of Ling in LIN 5&6 is presented. The assessment was implemented in CASAL and the stock was assessed to the end of the 2017-18 fishing year. In the base model, B0 was estimated at 278 000 t (95% CI: 186 000–507 000 t), with stock status at approximately 90% B0 (95% CI: 74-105% B0). Projections indicated that catches at the TACC may lead to a slight decline in biomass, although the probability of B2023 being below 60% was very small when assuming either the low or high future annual catch scenarios (6650 t or 12 100 t, respectively).
