Download FAR 2019/52 Stock assessment of Sub-Antarctic hake (part of HAK 1) for 2018

An updated assessment is presented for the hake stock HAK 1 (Sub-Antarctic south of 46° S). Data inputs, assumptions, and model sensitivity investigations are described. The stock size prior to fishing was estimated to be about 55 000 t. The stock in 2017–18 was very likely to be above the biomass target (40% B0), and virtually certain to be the above the limit reference point (20% B0).
