Both Akaroa King Salmon brand Mānuka Cold Smoked Slices (100 g) and Trim (500 g) with the below date marking and batch number are affected by this recall.
- Use By 29 Dec 25 , Batch No. 46780.
The products are sold in 100 g and 500 g plastic packaging.
This recall does not affect any other Akaroa Salmon products.
Where the products were sold
The products were sold in the South Island at:
- Akaroa Salmon Wigram Factory Shop: 89 Treffers Road, Wigram, Christchurch 8042
- Beckenham Butchery: 7/140 Colombo Street, Sydenham, Christchurch 8023
- Taste Nature: 131 High Street, Central Dunedin, Dunedin 9016.
The products were not exported.
What to do if you bought the products
Customers are asked to check the batch and date mark on the products.
Affected products should not be consumed. There have been no reports of illness. However, if you have consumed any of these products and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.
Customers should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.

If you are a retailer of these products, download a copy of the point-of-sale notice. You need to display it in your store for one month.
