There have been no reports of associated illness but if your child has consumed this product and you have any concerns about their health, seek medical advice.
Cereulide toxin is extremely heat resistant – preparing formula with hot water would not eliminate it.
Symptoms include severe or persistent vomiting, diarrhoea, or unusual lethargy, which would typically appear between 30 minutes and 6 hours after exposure.
If you have any concerns about your child's health, contact your healthcare provider, or call Healthline on 0800 611 116 for free advice.
This recall follows a larger international recall by Nestlé after cereulide, produced by the microorganism Bacillus cereus, was found in an ingredient used in a range of products available overseas.
