Package size and description The products are sold in plastic bags with various weights.
Distribution

The products are sold in supermarkets throughout New Zealand.
Some affected products (shredded carrot and lettuce) have been supplied to food service customers, including Pita Pit and Subway.
Two batches of Leaderbrand brand products have been exported to Hong Kong.

Consumer advice

Customers are asked to check the date marking printed on the products.

The affected products should not be consumed. There have been no reports of illness, however if you have consumed any of these products and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.

Customers should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.

Listeria is a bacteria commonly found in soil and water and some animals. It can grow at refrigeration temperatures. If consumed, it can be harmful to ‘vulnerable’ people such as children under five years of age, adults over 65, pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems.
