What is MPI Trade Certification?

MPI Trade Certification is the Ministry for Primary Industries' online system for export certification.

You need to use MPI Trade Certification if you are applying for these types of export certificates:

  • animal product export certificates (from 17 August 2026)
  • phytosanitary certificates
  • wine statements and certificates
  • free sale certificates
  • Official Organic Assurance for organic products to Great Britain.

MPI Trade Certification is also the system used to track the movement of many products that will be exported.

How to access MPI Trade Certification

You access MPI Trade Certification through MyMPI.

MyMPI login

MyMPI is a secure online tool where users can access multiple MPI services. There are a few steps to follow before you can start using MPI Trade Certification.

Include the following information in your email:

  • your name
  • business name
  • description of the error or issue, and a screenshot if possible.

And if you are having a system issue or getting error messages in MPI Trade Certification, also include:

  • certificate number (or certificate type you are applying for)
  • export market.
